DropDocDropDoc

A tiny utility from S3 Labs

Ship a report.
Share a link.

Drop an HTML file, get a shareable URL in seconds. Your client sees the report exactly as designed — no account, no install.

Drop HTML reports here

or click to browse·.html files up to 3.5 MB

Uploads you make here stay in this tab's report list until you close it. Shareable links keep working after that — the list just resets.

— Features

Built for the handoff, not the homepage.

Every feature earns its place. Nothing you'd pay for and nothing you'd miss.

Live in five seconds

Drop the file. We sanitize, slug it, and stand up a stable URL before you reach your clipboard.

POST /api/upload → 200

Broken refs, auto-patched

“Save Page As” exports lose their chart and map libraries. We repoint the ones we know — Chart.js, D3, Leaflet, Plotly — to a CDN so the report still renders.

./chart.js → CDN

Links don't expire

No free-trial countdown, no takedown clock. Once it's up, it stays up — even after you close the tab.

TTL: forever

Sealed in a sandbox

Your scripts and styles run — but inside a locked-down sandbox that can't read DropDoc's cookies, storage, or other reports. Your layout, fonts, and styling come through untouched.

CSP: sandbox

Unguessable slugs

Links are 8-character random ids — URL-safe, not indexed, not listed. Shareable means shareable on purpose.

Exactly as designed

No chrome, no banner, no watermark. The page your recipient opens is the page you built.

— How it works

Three steps. One minute.

  1. 01

    Drop

Drag an .html file onto the page, or click to browse. We accept single-file HTML up to 3.5 MB.

  2. 02

    Sanitize

Dangerous markup and iframes get stripped; scripts run sealed in a sandbox. Everything visual — styles, fonts, SVGs — stays intact.

  3. 03

    Share

You get a stable URL at dropdoc.sh/r/<slug>. Paste it, print it, or text it to your client.

— Questions

Things worth asking.

Is it really free?+

Yes. No card, no account, no paywall. If DropDoc saves you a minute, tips at s3labs.com keep it running — but nothing is gated.

Do links expire?+

No. Once a report is live, the URL is stable. We don't purge, we don't email you a renewal reminder, we don't run a free-trial timer.

Can I password-protect a report?+

Not yet. Slugs are random 8-character URL-safe ids — unguessable, not indexed — which covers most casual sharing. Password protection is on the roadmap.

What happens to scripts in my HTML?+

They run — but inside a locked-down sandbox with no access to DropDoc's cookies, storage, or other reports. We remove <iframe> and other risky markup at upload; styles, fonts, images, and SVG render exactly as designed.

Can I use a custom domain?+

Not today. We might offer a one-time-purchase custom-subdomain tier later. No subscriptions, ever.

Who made this?+

S3 Labs — a tiny studio building simple, inexpensive, useful software. Everything we ship is free or one-time-purchase. Nothing recurring.
